Object DescriptionPair of silver embossed chased candlesticks. On three acanthus-patterned feet, round domed base, one level embossed in three sections with buds; one knob beneath square fluted shaft, embossed with garlands, which tapers from wide top; above, cylindrical embossed domed drip tray. Silver marks: Austro-Hungary, before 1922.

NotesBelonged to Mrs. Flatow in Poland and brought by her to the United States c. 1924-1925 when she immigrated with three of her children. The candlesticks were later given to and used by her daughter, Lillian Flatow Reinman, and eventually to Lillian's daughter, Betty Edell, the donor.
