Object DescriptionWooden carrying case for hand operated portable sewing machine. Black with elaborate gold trim. It was brought from Odessa to America by Gussie Levinson in 1905. She lived in Brownsville with her husband who owned a butcher shop, and used the machine to sew for the family.
