NotesAndre Salvatore Marx was born in Bettemberg, suburb of Luxembourg City, in 1912. Marx worked for UNRRA as a social worker, with Jewish children, as director of the children's home in Kloster Indersdorf, Germany, listed as DP Children’s Center, UNRRA Team 182 in the Landsberg area. There he was instrumental in recreating Jewish life for the orphans, and sending many of them to Palestine with the Bricha. He did this work until Sept. 1947.
